The widow of a Bronx man killed at a construction site has run out of tears, and is desperate for answers.

“Nobody told me anything. No information. None. I need answers,” said Shaneeka Samuel, the wife of worker, Linden Samuel. “A police officer from the 46th Precinct was the only one who told me anything.” Electric Go Karts

The distraught widow said authorities told her only that her husband died at the site of a state-sponsored project to build housing for homeless people.

“My tears are dry,” she said. “He was a great guy. He loved his two young boys.”

She said her and Samuel’s relationship went a long way back, and they grew up together on the island of St. Croix, one of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

“He was my first love. He was my only love. We were friends since we were kids together,” Shaneeka said. “He would always look at me and tell me how much he loved me. Sometimes he would just touch my arm.”

Linden Samuel, 57, was working at the site on Thursday around 11:30 a.m. on Carter Ave. near E. 176th in Tremont when he was fatally struck by an excavator bucket, cops said.

When the excavator operator stopped to assist Samuel, the bucket came down and struck Samuel in the head, police said.

Samuel died at the scene, police said. Medics took an injured second person to St. Barnabas Hospital, according to the FDNY. It wasn’t clear if the second person was the excavator operator, or how badly they were hurt.

Workers at the site would not comment and a spokesman for Joy Construction Corp., the contractor involved said he couldn’t comment while the incident is being investigated by authorities.

Shaneeka Samuel said she hadn’t heard a word from her husband’s employer.

Samuel said her husband worked hard to support her and their two sons, ages 16 and 3.

“He did the world for them. He picked my 3-year-old up at daycare after work, and they would meet my 16-year-old and have an after school snack every day,” she said. “My 16-year old still didn’t cry. He can’t believe his father isn’t coming home.”

A sign at the site indicates the state Division of Housing and Community Renewal is in charge of the project.

Plans call for 154 affordable homes, including 86 with “on-site services for the homeless,” according to the agency. It was not clear when the current project began.

“We grieve with the family of the deceased and members of the construction crew over this tragic accident,” said a HCR spokesman, who said he had no details about the death.
