In Shalimar Bagh in Delhi, men on a bike allegedly snatched a woman's mobile phone before dragging her on the road for 150 metres on Thursday.

While the men fled from the area, the woman was rescued by bystanders at the site of the incident. After being dragged by the bike, she had been left in the middle of the road when locals in the area surrounded her and took her to the side.

A video of the incident emerged on the Internet and has gone viral.

The police are trying to identify the accused on the basis of the CCTV footage from the area. The investigation is underway.

Last month, a 38-year-old woman and her daughter were attacked by a group of four people, including two women, in northwest Delhi's Shalimar Bagh area. The incident was captured by CCTV cameras.The woman and her daughter were hospitalised after the incident.
