For deal seekers, Presidents’ Day is more than a federal holiday or a long weekend—it offers access to some of the best sales that are likely to crop up in the early months of the year on household, tech, and style essentials. If you’ve been waiting to splurge on big-ticket items like large appliances, mattresses, laptops, or TVs, Presidents’ Day can provide a wealth of options, but as with any sale event, it’s important to separate the quality deals from the hype. The Wirecutter Deals team has spent the day researching sales to find you the discounts that are truly worth your time.

Nintendo Switch Deal price: $280 with Prime membership; street price: $300

If you’re still on the hunt for a Nintendo Switch, right now Prime members can save on a new console through Woot. Simply log into your Amazon account to save $20 at checkout plus free shipping. The Switch is the most flexible console available, perfect for folks on the go who want to bring their games with them. It doesn’t offer much in the way of video streaming or do anything 4K, but the Switch is still the go-to console for family-friendly, genre-defining Nintendo games like Mario, Zelda, and Pokémon. You can also find the Switch OLED model from Amazon (delayed shipping) or Best Buy (limited local availability). However, it’s not on sale. It’s much pricier than the base Switch, but it offers a beautiful screen, better sound, and a useful built-in stand.

From our favorite robot vacuums to our favorite washer and dryer, Presidents’ Day offers sales on all sorts of appliances across multiple retailers. We recently updated a portion of our appliance guides, using insights from a reader survey and AI-powered analysis of customer reviews, to reflect recommended brands versus specific models. LG is the refrigerator brand that rated the highest for customer satisfaction in our latest research. While we don't have individual models listed below, we've linked some of the sitewide sales we're tracking for easy reference so you can find the model that works best for you.

iRobot Roomba e6 Robot Vacuum (Refurbished) Deal price: $130 with code PREZDAY15; street price: $170

Vacuuming is a chore. Get some help around the house with a robot vacuum. The Roomba e6 is an affordable vacuum that’s sturdy and repairable, and it cleans well. Its rubber brush is great for tackling pet hair, and it can connect to your smart assistant for added smart-home integration. If you’re nervous about buying a refurbished model, note that the e6 comes with a two-year warranty from Allstate to help alleviate any concerns. Use the code PREZDAY15 to get the discounted price at checkout.

iRobot Roomba i7 Robot Vacuum (Refurbished) Deal price: $250 with code PREZDAY15; street price: $400

This deal offers another chance to save on a smarter variant of our top pick for the best robot vacuum. Although it doesn’t come with a self-emptying dock like the i7+, we still think the standalone i7 vacuum is an excellent model (and you can even purchase the dock on its own). In our testing, it was super smart with great navigation, and it can even follow instructions to clean specific rooms. We’ve seen better deals in the past, but using the code PREZDAY15 still nets you a notable discount. This manufacturer-refurbished model also comes with a two-year Allstate warranty.

Costco: Costco is offering discounts on a variety of large appliances, like dishwashers and refrigerators. We’ve recently updated our coverage of refrigerators to focus on reliable brands instead of making specific model recommendations. We’ve found that LG refrigerators with a French-door design are the most beloved type and should accommodate most households.

Home Depot: You may also find what you need from Home Depot. It is also hosting sales on large appliances like refrigerators and washing machines, including some of our favorite models and brands.

Best Buy: Best Buy is another good retailer to check for notable savings on larger appliances. They sell several LG-branded refrigerators as well as microwaves, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers.

If you’ve been holding out and hoping to snag a new laptop or a nice pair of headphones at a discount, you just might be in luck, as Presidents’ Day sees yearly sales from the biggest manufacturers of Windows ultrabooks and even the occasional deal on sought-after gear from Apple. Here are the best deals we’ve found on Wirecutter-recommended options.

Apple MacBook Air (2020, M1, 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD) Deal price: $1,050; street price: $1,200

The best Mac laptop for most people is the 13-inch MacBook Air with Apple’s M1 processor. It’s fast enough for everyday use, and the M1 can even handle professional work like 3D rendering or compiling code. This laptop has a great keyboard and trackpad, a colorful high-resolution screen, and outstanding battery life, too. The only real downsides: Some Mac apps aren’t optimized for the M1 chip yet, and aside from a headphone jack, it includes only two USB-C ports (which support Thunderbolt 3). This deal for Costco members matches the low price we've seen, and this configuration comes with more storage than in our recommended specs.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14s AMD Laptop Deal price: $850 with code T14G2AMDDEALS; street price: $1050

If you're looking for a business-centric laptop, this ThinkPad T14s AMD delivers a lot for the money. Offering a Ryzen 7 Pro Processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD, this model holds its own in terms of specs. Although it isn't as svelte as the X1 Carbon and has a less impressive battery life, the T14s still comes in at 2.8 pounds and lasted longer than 8 hours in our testing. It's hard to beat this pricing with code T14G2AMDDEALS, but it's still worth noting that the 250 nit 1080p screen isn't as bright as we'd like it to be.

Whether you’re seeking a feature-packed smart TV or something unique with a design that thinks outside the box, we’ve got you covered. These are the best TV deals we've found.

Hisense U7G Series LED TV (55-inch) Deal price: $553 with code PREZDAY15; street price: $750

If you’re looking for a TV that balances performance and budget, we recommend an LCD/LED TV. Our top pick delivers 4K pictures that look almost as good as those of an OLED TV, with excellent HDR, vibrant colors, and superb contrast. For gamers, the U7G is equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports and boasts a 120 Hz refresh rate for better motion interpolation and response time. This deal matches the best price we’ve seen for our favorite 4K LCD TV. Don’t forget to use the code PREZDAY15 at checkout to snag the discount.

Samsung The Frame 50-Inch LCD TV Deal price: $848 with code PREZDAY15; street price: $1,050

For some folks, the perfect TV is more about presenting a streamlined aesthetic and less about having the latest and greatest features. If you’re looking for a TV with a less obtrusive, more decor-friendly design, we recommend Samsung’s The Frame. This elegant LCD model is designed to hang perfectly flush against the wall, just like a framed piece of art. When the TV isn't in use, its smart screensaver can display photos or art to keep up the appearance. This model is 4K capable and offers some handy features like built-in Alexa support. Although The Frame is still expensive even on sale, this deal is a new low price for the 50-inch model. Use the code PREZDAY15 at checkout to save.

Vizio M-Series Quantum 4K TV (75-Inch) Deal price: $1,000; street price: $1,120

Shopping for a large 4K TV on a budget? Our runner-up pick offers the best-looking SDR and HDR images of any TV in its price range, as well as decent local dimming. Its streaming features are mediocre overall, but we think its image quality is top notch, especially for the money. We’ve yet to see this budget 4K TV drop any lower, so check it out if you’re looking to deck out your media room.

Apple products don’t go on sale often, and even when they do, the savings can be slim. But it’s always exciting to catch those extra special deals when you can. Below are some of the best sales we’ve seen on everything from Bluetooth trackers to iPhone cases.

Apple AirTag Bluetooth Tracker (4-Pack) Deal price: $89 with code WCTRATG; street price: $100

Tired of turning your house upside down to find a misplaced wallet or set of keys? A Bluetooth tracker can help. We think Apple's AirTag tracker is the best tracker for iOS users. Even when your lost item is out of range, Apple’s vast network connects you to billions of other devices to help you locate it. No other tracker can compete with the broad scope and precision finding that an AirTag offers, and we’ve yet to see a set of four for less. Be sure to use code WCTRATG at checkout to get the deal price.

iPad mini (6th generation) Deal price: $600; street price: $650

If you’re an Apple user seeking a smaller tablet, the iPad mini is your best bet. While we don’t think it’s viable for work, it is a great option for kids or for folks with smaller hands who primarily want to watch videos, play games, or doodle. This deal is only a modest drop in price for the larger, 256 GB capacity, but it matches the best deal we’ve seen on the iPad mini. So it’s still a decent discount if you want the extra storage.

Apple Leather Case with MagSafe for iPhone 13 (Midnight) Deal price: $40; street price: $48

No one has come close to replicating the quality of Apple’s leather iPhone cases since the company started making them in 2015. Between its sleek aesthetic, high-quality material, and MagSafe compatibility, this Apple case is once again our favorite leather option. If you have an iPhone 13 and you’re looking for a handsome case that still provides all-around protection, this deal is a new low price in the midnight color.

$100 Apple Gift Card + $10 Target Gift Card Deal price: $100; street price: $110

Right now, when you buy a $100 Apple Gift Card you also get a $10 Target e-gift card with purchase. We recommend quite a few iOS devices, and users will likely want to have some Target credit on hand as well for use on a variety of our technology picks, so this is a nice opportunity to snag a handy gift card alongside your Apple credit. We've seen similar promotions in the past from Amazon and Best Buy, but it's always nice to get a little free money.

Jabra Elite 85t Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds (Refurbished) Deal price: $68 with code PREZDAY15; street price: $100

Although tip-sizing issues kept the Elite 85t from becoming an official pick, we still think these refurbished earbuds offer a great selection of impressive features—if you can find a comfortable fit. We particularly appreciated the ability to adjust each 'buds noise-cancellation individually, the fantastic wind-resistant microphones, IPX4 water resistance rating, and the 85t's included compact Qi charging case. A few of our testers struggled with finding a good ear seal, but if you feel like you have larger ear canals, give this model a try. These headphones are certified refurbished from Jabra and comes with a solid 180-day manufacturer's limited warranty from Target, or 2-year Allstate warranty from eBay. Looking to update your wardrobe? For Presidents’ Day, Levi’s is offering a 30% discount off apparel sitewide. Levi's 512 Slim Taper Fit Jeans Deal price: $49; street price: $70

Searching for a pair of jeans that are as stylish as they are sustainable? Levi’s 512 jeans fit narrower through the thigh and have a tapered leg versus a straight cut. The style isn’t quite as universal as that of our pick (the 511), but many of our testers still loved the fit. Right now, you can snag this alternative to our classic pick in a variety of shades and sizes. We saw these jeans for a few bucks less in November, but this discount is still a substantial drop from their $70 street price. Levi’s Red Tab members can also get free shipping; otherwise, it’s an additional $8 fee.

Nike Blazer Mid '77 Vintage Sneakers Deal price: $80 with code EXTRA20 and Nike membership; street price: $100

Wirecutter updates writer Sri Rain Stewart first bought a pair of Nike Blazers a few years ago and has loved this underrated Nike sneaker ever since. These surprisingly versatile sneakers are sleek, leather high tops with suede details reminiscent of classic ’70s style basketball shoes. The Blazers are also extremely comfortable. They have a solid-rubber sole that provides strong foot support and traction. This is a members exclusive sale so make sure to sign up for a free Nike membership and use the code EXTRA20 to get the deal.

Fitbit Charge 5 Fitness Tracker Deal price: $120; street price: $180

Our newest top fitness tracker, the Charge 5, is a great way to monitor both your active time and your sleep cycles. The Fitbit series of workout bands are comfortable to wear, easy to use, and have a long-lasting battery life. The Charge 5 will accurately track your exercise metrics and link to a fitness community to share your sessions and meet your goals. Although we saw a deal last year with an extra band for only $5 more, this deal is technically new low price for our pick.

Bose QuietComfort 45 Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones Deal price: $280; street price: $330

Drown out unwanted noise and immerse yourself in the music with a quality pair of noise canceling headphones. An update to our longstanding favorite (the QuietComfort 35), the 45 has a better battery and newer features, such as an awareness mode and background-noise-reducing microphones. It's also compatible with Bose soundbars, which means you can use the 45 as a pair of wireless TV headphones at home. While we think these over-ear headphones are a great alternative option, we still wish they had an adjustable active noise cancellation, like the Bose 700.

From the best slippers to the best cotton sheets , L.L.Bean continue to top many of our guides. This week, between the 17th and the 21st, the retailer is offering 15% off sitewide with promo code WCFEB2022. It's not unusual to see promotions from L.L.Bean throughout the year, but there are a few standout deals worth noting.

L.L.Bean 280-Thread-Count Pima Cotton Percale Sheet Set Deal price: $127 with code WCFEB2022; street price: $159

High-quality sheets are one of those luxuries you just need to try out for yourself. With a durable construction that only gets softer with each wash, this supple and breathable percale set from L.L.Bean has been our top cotton-sheets pick for four years running. We’ve seen better markdowns in the past, but considering that these sheets have increased in street price over the past few years, we think this drop to $127 in a variety of colors is still a solid deal. Use promo code WCFEB2022 to save if you’re shopping for a set of cool, crisp sheets.

L.L.Bean Maine-Made Cotton Twill Blanket (Full/Queen) Deal price: $135 with code WCFEB2022; street price: $150

This casual, no-fuss blanket is the perfect companion on a chilly day. Don’t be fooled by its thinner appearance—the Maine-Made Cotton Twill blanket is toasty and nicely weighted, perfect for layering under a comforter or for curling up on the couch. It’s also tightly woven and durable. Even after three years of testing and washing, it still looks soft and new. We don’t see many notable discounts from L.L.Bean, so don’t miss out on this chance to grab this toasty blanket. The coupon code WCFEB2022 works for all sizes and colors.

L.L.Bean Women's Wicked Good Moccasins Deal price: $67 with code WCFEB2022; street price: $79

There’s nothing quite like a cozy pair of slippers. These L.L.Bean sheepskin slippers have been our favorite set for several years running. They’re super soft and durable—basically “a warm hug for your feet.” The Wicked Good Moccasins are also breathable and easy to slip on and off, and they offer nice all-around coverage. This isn’t the best deal we’ve seen for these moccasins, but it’s still a decent chance to snag a longtime Wirecutter favorite for a little less. Don't forget to use the code WCFEB2022 at checkout.

L.L.Bean Winter Fleece Robe Deal price: $67 with code WCFEB2022; street price: $79

Do cold winter mornings make you just want to roll over and hide in your warm bed? Put on a brave face and wrap yourself up in the plush L.L.Bean Winter Fleece Robe, which is available in multiple colors and more sizes than any other option we've tried. Warm enough to wear both indoors and while running outside to get the mail or warm up your car, our testers likened this ankle-length robe to wrapping themselves up in a fleece blanket. We haven't seen a deal on our full-length fleece robe pick since 2018, so though it doesn't match previous lows, this is still a great chance to save.  Use code WCFEB2022 to take advantage of this deal.

If you’re looking to upgrade your kitchen repertoire, we’ve found notable discounts on everything from a countertop pizza oven to our favorite spatula for nonstick cookware.

Breville Smart Oven Pizzaiolo Deal price: $800; street price: $1000

The Breville Smart Oven Pizzaiolo, a $1000 countertop oven capable of reaching a scorching 750 degrees Fahrenheit, is getting a lot of buzz from pizza fanatics. After three days of testing, we can confidently say that this mighty little pizza oven does exactly what it promises: bakes stellar pies. It’s fun to play with, super fast, and can make pizzas as good as (if not better than) the best pies we made on a baking steel. It's an expensive luxury item, but if you’re really into making awesome pizza at home and don’t want an outdoor oven, this is a great option.

GIR Mini Flip Silicone Spatula Deal price: $11; street price: $13

The GIR Silicone Spatula is our pick for nonstick cookware. It won't scratch your pan and has a nice tapered edge that easily slips under brittle cookies and fried eggs without mangling them. We've seen better deals on the GIR in the past, but it hasn't dropped any lower than this since last year. Right now, this deal is only available in the red color.

Tribest Shine Juicer Deal price: $128 with code 15OFFTOPSELLERS; street price: $150

We were blown away by the juice made with the compact, budget-friendly Tribest Shine. Although its yields were a bit lower than those of our other picks, it produced the second-best-tasting juice in our tests. The Shine is lightweight and has a narrower profile than full-size juicers, so it will fit easily in a small kitchen. And this juicer has a three-year warranty, which we think is fine considering this model’s low price. Although this is the worst deal we've posted for the Tribest Shine, it's the only notable discount we've seen in well over six months. Don't forget to use code 15OFFTOPSELLERS.

Bodum Chambord French Press Deal price: $29 with code COFFEE10; street price: $36

A French press is an easy coffee brewing method that produces a nice cup of coffee without the fuss of a more complicated setup. Simple but elegant, the Bodum Chambord is a classically designed option that makes a balanced cup of mostly grit-free coffee. This isn't the best deal we've seen for our runner-up pick, but discounts are rare (and fleeting), so we still think this is a decent chance to pick up this retro 50's-style press for a little less. Make sure to use the promo code COFFEE10 at checkout to get the discount.

For all of the hype, Presidents’ Day really does offer great discounts on sleep essentials, and many of the deals from Wirecutter’s Sleep Week event are still live. Here are some highlights, as well as a few extras to help you get your 40 winks.

Leesa Hybrid Mattress (Queen) Deal price: $1,050 with code WIRECUTTER; street price: $1,660

Whether you favor your side, back, or stomach, the Leesa Hybrid can support all. It takes the best that spring and foam mattresses have to offer and combines them into one perfect hybrid that delivers bounce and support. It’s cooler and thicker than the competition, it offers a 100-day trial period, and it comes with a 10-year warranty. The Leesa Hybrid is also a great option for people who weigh more than 200 pounds. If you’re a picky sleeper searching for your Goldilocks mattress, the Leesa Hybrid just might be your perfect fit. Plus, we’ve yet to see this mattress drop any lower in price. Just don’t forget to enter WIRECUTTER to get the deal price.

Baloo Weighted Blanket (Queen, 15 Pounds) Deal price: $125; street price: $180

It may seem counterintuitive to comfort yourself by weighing your body down with 15 pounds, but for many folks, there’s some very real magic at work when they use a weighted blanket. Our low-maintenance “quilted” pick is the perfect cross between a bedroom comforter and a quilt. It’s soft and smooth, and it has higher-quality stitching than other, cheaper blankets—perfect for your bedroom or movie night. Plus, it’s washer and dryer safe.

Nest Bedding Easy Breather Pillow Deal price: $75 with code WIRECUTTER; street price: $120

Even if you’re allergic to down, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on an ultrasoft pillow. The Easy Breather is supportive, soft, and one of the most comfortable pillows we’ve found. It’s also highly adjustable, as it’s filled with shredded foam that you can remove to find your ideal fit. The Easy Breather comes with a two-year warranty and lacks the infamous chemical smell that plagues many other shredded-foam pillows. This deal is far from the best price we’ve seen for this adjustable pillow, but it’s still a decent savings when you use code WIRECUTTER.

Hydro Flask Standard Mouth Water Bottle (21 ounces) Deal price: $18 with code WIRECUTTER18; street price: $31

We’ve spent quite a bit of time testing water bottles over the years (over 120 hours, in fact), so when we say the Hydro Flask is one of our favorites, we mean it. Always at the top of our list, this simple bottle is reliable and understated: It’s the little black dress of the kitchen cupboard. It’s comfortable to drink from and completely leakproof, and it keeps drinks cool all day (or hot for up to six hours), so it’s perfect for folks on the go. Plus, this deal is the best price we’ve ever seen for this reliable staple. Make sure to use the promo code WIRECUTTER18 at checkout.

The Onsen Bath Towel (Set of Two) Deal price: $75 with code WCSET; street price: $100

When it comes to towels, one person’s plush dream is another’s terry-cloth nightmare. If you err on the lighter, quicker-drying side of the towel spectrum, we recommend the Onsen. This luxurious-looking lattice towel dries much faster than your average terry-cloth towel. It’s the most expensive towel we recommend, but among lattice-style offerings, it’s surprisingly well priced—even more so when it’s on sale. Right now, you can save on a set of two in all available colors with the code WCSET.

The Onsen Towel Bath Bundle Deal price: $109 with code WCBUNDLE; street price: $156

Light and textured, this quick-drying lattice towel is a great alternative for those who aren’t interested in a heavier terry-cloth towel. Matching the previous low of $109 when you use code WCBUNDLE, this deal includes two bath towels, two hand towels, and two face cloths. The Onsen towels are the priciest pick in our guide, but they’re made from soft and smooth American-grown Supima cotton, and they dried significantly faster than any other option we tested.

Glerups The Shoe - Camp Sole Deal price: $110 in black/gray with code WCTHESHOE; street price: $140

Did you know that warming your feet up a bit before bed may help reduce fatigue and insomnia? If you want a great pair of slippers to wear around the house, we like Glerups Wool Slippers. They’re supportive and extremely durable, and they have an attractive minimalist look. They’re also very breathable, so they’ll keep your feet warm without making them sweaty. Essentially, the only reason these slippers aren’t our top pick is their price. But this sale helps close that gap a bit.

Snooz White Noise Machine Deal price: $72 with code WIRECUTTER72; street price: $90

White-noise machines are great, but they aren’t always aesthetically pleasing. The Snooz, however, is a curvy and stylish alternative to the often more clinical-looking models we recommend. It’s Bluetooth-enabled, and its encased fan produces a natural and satisfying whoosh. The Snooz has an app that allows you to adjust the volume in gradual increments, as well as a handy automatic scheduler. You can also rotate its outer ring manually to adjust the tone. Overall, this model is a beautiful option, but it’s limited to a single sound, so it’s not as versatile as our upgrade pick. That said, if you only have ears for the fan setting, we think you’ll get the most out of the Snooz.

The Company Store Company Cotton Women’s Turkish Cotton Long Robe Deal price: $50; street price: $79

Donning a cozy robe is a simple way to make a luxurious upgrade to your lounging routine. Our pick for the best terry robe absorbs water without clinging to your body, and it’s lighter and easier to move around in compared with other robes we tested. This deal is available in a wide range of women’s sizes and includes all of The Company Store’s recently released new colors. Even better, it’s the best price we’ve ever seen for these plush robes.

AcousticSheep SleepPhones Wireless Deal price: $82 with code WCSLEEP; street price: $100

If you use music or meditation apps to help you drift off to sleep, consider a pair of sleep headphones. AcousticSheep’s SleepPhones come in a headband style, delivering the most comfortable speaker design of all the sleep headphones we tested. It even has removable electronics, so you can wash or replace the headband as needed. Its battery life lasts for 12 to 13 hours, but it’s very slow to charge, taking about three hours to go from dead to full. The headband isn’t for everyone, either: If you wear a bonnet to bed or use skincare products or other gear at night, you may not appreciate the design. It also doesn’t transition well to daily use, which makes the price tag harder to swallow. That said, if your heart is set on sleep headphones and you don’t mind the drawbacks, this deal with the code WCSLEEP is a great chance to try a pair out for less.

Yogasleep Dohm White Noise Machine (White/Gray) Deal price: $33 with code 35WIRECUTTER; street price: $50

There’s little more frustrating than distracting noises that keep you tossing and turning all night. Whether you live on a busy street or you have busy roommates, a white-noise machine can go a long way in creating a more restful environment. If you find the sound of fans particularly relaxing, we recommend the Yogasleep Dohm. The Dohm’s real fans give its sound a pleasant, natural effect. Although it excels at masking softer sounds like traffic, it isn’t as effective at concealing more prominent disturbances like people talking outside your door. Still, the Dohm is a great white noise machine, particularly for those who want to keep their bedroom tech-free. Use code 35WIRECUTTER to get the discounted price.

Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Topper Supreme Mattress Topper (Queen) Deal price: $240; street price: $320

Don’t have the budget for a new mattress? A good mattress topper can spruce up your existing mattress for much less. The Tempur-Topper Supreme offers a dense layer of support with just the right amount of cushion to keep you comfortable. It’s more expensive than some of our other picks, but the Tempur-Pedic Supreme is a long-term stopgap mattress enhancer that does a lot for the price—especially compared with buying an entirely new mattress. Plus, this discount matches the best price we’ve seen in a while, and it applies to all sizes, not just the queen.

The Sleep Number mattress is overpriced. Unless you and your partner have very specific sleeping preferences (and budget isn't an issue), we don't think it's worth it. Here are three alternative mattresses that are cheaper and just as comfortable.

Leesa Hybrid Mattress (Queen) Deal price: $1050 with code WIRECUTTER; street price: $1660

Whether you favor your side, back, or stomach, the Leesa Hybrid mattress can support all. It takes the best that spring and foam mattresses have to offer and combines them into a hybrid that delivers bounce and support. It’s cooler and thicker than the competition, it comes with a 100-day trial period, and it includes a 10-year warranty. Don't forget to use the code WIRECUTTER at checkout.

Saatva Classic Mattress (Luxury Firm, Queen) Deal price: $1174; street price: $1600

The Saatva Classic delivers all the bounce of a traditional innerspring mattress without the usual creaking or rigidity. It has pocketed microcoils and a plush cotton and memory-foam top for optimal pressure relief no matter what position you sleep in. However, the Classic doesn’t offer the best motion isolation, so rotisserie-style sleepers may still face the ire of their partner. We’ve seen better discounts in the past, but we think this deal is decent compared with the Classic’s recent street-price increase. Plus, the mattress comes with a 180-day trial period and 15-year warranty. (Note: Returns and exchanges entail a $100 fee.)

WinkBed Mattress (Luxury Firm, Queen) Deal price: $1345 with code WCSLEEPWEEK; street price: $1550

If you prefer a firmer mattress, the WinkBed is a medium-firm polyfoam mattress that provides a nice cushion but does not have as much spring as its previous iteration. The WinkBed is less cradling than the Saatva Classic above, and it has 1,054 pocketed coils internally and around the rim that create an overall denser and supportive mattress. We initially found the WinkBed to be overly stiff (particularly against our shoulders), but it quickly broke in after about a week of use, nicely balancing give and support throughout the body. Make sure to remove the auto-applied SLEEP300 code and use code WCSLEEPWEEK to get the discounted price.

We’re seeing sitewide Presidents’ Day sales from a wide variety of retailers this year. Some are advertising a flat percentage off across the entire site, while others are offering promo codes to use at checkout. The true value of these sales tend to be overinflated. We’ve already selected the most notable deals in the above categories. However, if you’re looking for something specific that we haven’t covered, this could be a nice opportunity to save a little more.

Home Depot: Like Costco, Home Depot is also hosting a Presidents' Day appliance sale. It's worth checking out if you've been waiting to pick up a new refrigerator or washing machine.

Ruggable: You can find 15 percent off rugs sitewide from Ruggable—including the washable Quadra Teal Rug .

ThermoWorks: The home of many of our favorite meat thermometers , ThermoWorks is running a sale for 18 percent off sitewide. We’ve seen better discounts from the brand in the past, but if you don’t want to wait, this deal is still a decent opportunity to save on the ThermoPop , ThermoWorks Dot , Thermapen ONE , and the ThermoWorks ChefAlarm .

Best Buy: Best Buy is offering tech discounts across the board on everything from smart TVs to wireless earbuds.

Pet Smart: If you have pets, online shoppers can save around 15 percent on pet, toys, and other accessories for your furry (or scaly) friend.

Levi’s: Members can get 30 percent off sitewide and free shipping with a free Levi Red Tag membership. We like the fit of Levi’s 512 jeans . They’re a little narrower throughout the leg, but an overall comfortable (and fashionable) fit.

Nike: Nike is advertising 20 percent off, plus free shipping with a free Nike membership. We particularly like the Nike Blazer Mid 77s Vintage Sneakers and the Air Force One Lows .

Dell: Dell’s showing this year has been lackluster so far, but it is advertising 45 percent off PCs and other electronics throughout its site from February 15–23.

HP: We’ve yet to see anything notable from HP’s Presidents’ Day sale. But if you have your eye on something specific, you may be able to find a worthwhile discount.  This event should last from February 15–22 and may include stackable coupons—so keep your eyes peeled for any extra promo codes.

Lenovo: We’ve only seen one discount from Lenovo so far on the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s AMD Laptop, but if you're looking for something outside Wirecutter’s coverage, you may be able to save a little extra.

Bed Bath & Beyond: This retailer is offering discounts on sale and clearance items–though none of our picks are currently included. It’s also worthwhile to keep in mind that Bed Bath & Beyond essentially offers a semipermanent 20 percent off year-round.

Kohl’s: Use the promo code LETSGO15 to take an extra 15 percent off select items.

Macy’s: Macy’s shoppers can use the promo code REFRESH to save on clothing, home accessories, and more.
